What can be removed from images, animations and documents?

Still images: supported location and device metadata. GIF and animated WebP can be cleaned directly here by removing metadata from their original containers, without re-encoding frames or changing frame contents, timing or loops. PDF: author, title and XMP properties. Office: author, last editor, manager and company fields. Each file type shows its cleanup scope before processing.

Author cleanup is not full-document redaction

Names, faces, number plates, comment authors, tracked changes and attachments need separate review. This tool does not automatically conceal visible content or equate successful processing with full anonymity.

Keep the original, create a copy to share

Office author cleanup is free and runs locally in your browser without uploading files. DOCX, XLSX and PPTX are supported, one file up to 20 MB. Legacy, encrypted, macro-enabled and signed files are excluded. Images and PDFs use workspace services with credits shown before submission. Open a dedicated workspace for further editing.
